Projects Engineer / Projects Manager

RMR Engineering Pty. Ltd. is a dynamic and fast-growing fabrication/manufacturing & installation business with our Headquarters located in regional Victoria (Albury / Wodonga), with multiple live and ongoing projects, and subsequently, we are now looking to fulfil this key project's role managing their current and ongoing requirements.

We are looking for a project engineering/project management team member who can confidently manage multiple projects from concept & tender stages to successful completion & handover.

Your duties would include (but not limited to):

  • Sourcing Work & Preparing Quotations / Tender submissions. 
  • Reviewing Scope of Works / Contracts.
  • Overseeing the shop drawing process.
  • Site measures, as required.
  • Procurement of materials & equipment. 
  • Resource allocation & management.
  • Management of site installations.
  • Communicating with clients, suppliers & other Team RMR members.
  • Organising logistics.
  • Providing direction to Manufacturing Manager during the fabrication/manufacturing phases.
  • Handling project variations & invoicing tasks, as required.
  • Management of site OHSE & QA (ISO-9001-QA) processes & requirements.
  • Other general administration tasks associated with running projects.
RMR Engineering - Design Work

As the ideal Team RMR member, you would be a seasoned and highly skilled Projects Engineer / Projects Manager (preferably) with fabrication/manufacture/installation experience, being self-reliant, detail-oriented, a highly organised / time manager and personable in dealings with all internal/external stakeholders. You would be well versed in organising and managing projects and staff across various mechanical, construction, building, and process plant sites. You would be highly effective in planning, prioritising and managing multiple projects at the same time. Your ability to keep the installation team safe on-site, at appropriate quality levels and the clients happy with the delivery of the projects will set you apart from others.

The successful Team RMR member will be able to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering, technical background or trade equivalent experience.
  • Circa 5+ years of project engineering/project management experience in a technical field, e.g. Mechanical, construction, fabrication and/or similar.
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • First-class project stakeholder management and communication / interpersonal skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen and comfortable with project financials (costings, budgets, variations, invoicing & administration etc...).
  • Excellent experience with OHSE processes, including JSA’s / SWMS’s.
  • Thorough understanding of mechanical processes and ability to read/interpret engineering / architectural drawings.
  • Strong computer literacy / IT skills.
  • Excellent projects and personal time management.
  • Willingness to undertake local / interstate travel and be contactable outside of general business hours.
  • Having the right to work in Australia and an Australian car licence.
  • AutoCAD 2D / Inventor 3D Design capabilities would be advantageous.

The remuneration package will be commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience. A great deal of autonomy and flexibility will be afforded with this role over time with the expectation that the successful Team RMR member will help in driving improvements with existing systems.
